Notes From My First Solo Hike and What I Discovered About Myself

By Admin · 11 Sep 2026 · Outdoors

I finally worked up the courage to go on a hike by myself last weekend, something I had been putting off for way too long. The trail was not particularly difficult, but doing it alone changed the experience completely. No one to talk to meant I actually noticed things I usually walk right past, the sound of leaves, the way the light hit the canopy around midday, small details that get lost in conversation. I brought a notebook and ended up jotting down a few thoughts halfway through, mostly random reflections that turned into the idea for this blog post. Sometimes silence is exactly what you need to hear your own thoughts clearly again.
